The Social Discipline Window is a fundamental tool which helps us reflect on our own relationships, the way we interact with others and on our own practice in terms of how we relate to the children and adults we work with every day.  With a focus on getting the best outcomes for everyone, not just those in power, whilst maintaining and developing healthy, sustainable relationships so children attain at their best and thrive and adults feel supported and satisfied in their roles.

It makes us think and reflect on how much support, nurture and fairness we off those around us as well as making us consider how much challenge, boundaries or firmness we off those we interact with.

With the rationale that:

People are happier and more likely to make positive change when those in authority do things WITH them, rather than TO or FOR them.
